Here is my review of the recent new movie Frankenweenie. Here are some things you should know about the movie before the review:
- It’s Black & White (This was to make it feel like the real Frankenstien move.)
- Contains weird characters, but can be likeable
- A really weird storyline
The movie follows a great child scientist, named Victor Frankenstein, that looses his dog, Sparky, in a great accident, I don’t want to mention how he died, because that might effect you by the means of spoiling. When I was gonna first watch it, I was hesitant, for it was Black & White, and I thought it wouldn’t be all that nice, but it was actually pretty good, everybody that watched it with me said it was good too.
The story goes on as a Weird Girl (that’s actually her real name) goes up to Victor and tells him something big will happen to him that day, for her cat’s feces forms the letter “V” for Victor. Weird Girl goes on and tells Victor that every time her cat, Mr. Whiskers, pooped out a certain letter corresponding to the first letter of the victim’s name, something big will happen to him/her, for that also means that Mr. Whiskers had a dream of him/her. For example, the cat once had a dream of Bob, a fat kid in the story, and the same day he fell in a manhole. So, I guess that single example proves that Mr. Whiskers is always right.

Now, let’s move to the part of, Sparky, the dog and only friend of Victor, dies. Victor is extremely sad, for his only friend, Sparky, has died, it was like he couldn’t even live with himself anymore. Then one day, as shown in the trailer, Victor’s science teacher, Mr. Rzykruski, discussed how an animal’s muscle responds to electricity, even after death. This was where Victor, got the idea. He knew his town was cursed with lightning storms almost every single night, so that night he dug up Sparky’s grave, brought him back home, and got ready all his equipment in his lab, in the attic. From then, Victor was unsure, Sparky wasn’t moving, even if he tried so hard, then by a wag of a tail, Sparky was alive.
