During Wednesday night’s AFC Champions League clash between Iranian side Sepahan and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli, the quarterfinal first leg was temporarily interrupted when Sepahan midfielder Adel Kolahkaj picked up a small, block object and tossed it away from the pitch, not realising it was a small grenade. The referee and his assistant ran for their lives. Luckily nobody was hurt. The game was initially cancelled but players came back on field after a security inspection was made. The police officials are still investigating the incident.
