Facebook Messenger for Android has been updated with a neat new feature. In this update you can now text phone numbers directly from the application, however there is a small catch. Currently a few devices support texting from Facebook Messenger. The phones that support it are the HTC One X, HTC EVO 3D, LG Optimus Hub, LG Optimus Black, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Samsung Galaxy Ace, and Samsung Galaxy Y. Facebook did promise that over the next few weeks more devices will be supported, however.
The messages inbox has also been redesigned to look like an SMS app. You can also swipe your finger to the left to see who is available to chat.
