Going along with all of Twitter’s recent policy changed the social media website has implemented over the past half year or so, one thing they said would eventually be removing would be the ability to upload animated GIF avatars. That change has now been enforced. If you try to upload an animated image as an avatar, it will be denied. If you currently have an animated avatar, though, don’t change it as you’re allowed to keep it. If you do change your animated avatar though, once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.
