HTC held their big event today, announcing a new partnership with Microsoft to bring two new Windows Phone 8 devices. At the event two new devices were named, the Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S. They come in several colours and are thin like many phones. These devices come in many vibrant colours. Both phones will be available starting sometime in November, most likely before the holidays kick off with Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Starting with the Windows Phone 8S, this device features a 4.0-inch WVGA display, a 1.0GHz dual-core S4 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage capacity. This new phone does include Beats Audio. There may be no front facing camera, however there is a rear 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.8 aperture and 35mm lens to record video in 720p. The 8S does feature a microSD slot so owners can expand storage if they want to. The Windows Phone 8S comes in four colours: Domino, Fiesta Red, Atlantic Blue, and High-Rise Gray.

The second device announced by HTC is the Windows Phone 8X. This is a step up from the 8S. The 8X device is a new approach at the Windows Phone offerings from HTC. The device ships in November just like the 4S and comes in four different colour choices. You can pick from California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red, and Limelight Yellow. European operators will only stock the blue, black, and yellow versions, however. The Windows Phone 8X has a 4.3-inch 720p HD super LCD 2 display with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and also NFC support.

Just like the 8S, the 8X will feature Beats Audio, a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The front facing camera on this device is 2.1-megapixels and also has a f/2.0 lens and BSi sensor to help with low-light shots. The 8 degrees wide angel lens will also work for forward facing group shots and also 1080p video recording.
