It’s a pretty big day for the Internet Archive. For those of you who are unfamiliar, the Internet Archive is a non-profit digital library with the mission of “universal access to all knowledge.” The Internet Archive offers permanent storage of and free public access to collections of digitized materials, including websites, music, moving images, and over two million public-domain books.
With that said, the Internet Archive has released over 1,000,000 (yes, one million) downloadable files via the BitTorrent Protocol. To download the torrent of the files in the item, click the torrent link at the bottom of the download box. From there your torrenting client can use the Torrent file you downloaded to download the files in the archive you selected. Individual files can be selected (or deselected) from the list within most BitTorrent clients, allowing torrents to be used to retrieve an entire item or a specific subset of files within it.

With the launch of this torrent feature, a statistics page has also been set up. That can be viewed here.
