The Software Development Kit for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 has recently leaked onto the internet ahead of its expected debut. The Chinese site WPXAP posted links to download the SDK and its related documents that provide details about development options for Windows Phone 8. The kit is expected to be released in the coming weeks.

Sections of the leaked documents includes references to a new camera capability and lens apps, which also includes real-time access to the phone’s video stream and lenses, or special camera apps that provide additional effects and filters for cameras. The rumoured 3D mode for Nokia Maps is also detailed inside of the SDK documentation.

In addition, Paul Thurrott from Winsupersite managed to install the Windows Phone 8 emulator, revealing the improvement to the lenses and a new data sense feature. (pictured above)
