Here’s a promise by a company you don’t see often, let alone with something this pricey. If your iPhone breaks in the cellhelmet case, no matter how old it is, or even if it’s jailbroken or not, you’ll get a new one free of charge.
That’s a pretty appealing guarantee, right? I definitely agree. The cellhelmet is a highly protective iPhone case. It started out as a Kickstarter project and is now available for retail sale. The goal for this case was to make a thin yet highly durable iPhone case, attempting to make it the most “indestructible” one on the market.
There is one catch to the phone replacement though. Water damage is excluded from the phone replacement, as the case isn’t built to keep out water. Any drops get you a new phone though, as the company promises to replace it for a year for a $50 handling fee, with no monthly fee for the coverage. The iPhones are either repaired or replaced within three days of receipt and are sent to your address with overnight shipping.
The case is compatible with the iPhone 4 or 4S and is made of dense polyurethane rubber and has angled edges for drop-shock displacement around the device to keep it from shattering. Even though they guarantee replacement, I wouldn’t recommend shooting it or dropping it from a 20 story balcony. [Mashable]
